Excited for another great summer of hockey!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n This summer, the Washington Wolves will be holding a series of field hockey camps and high school skills sessions to give players a chance to learn more about field hockey, strengthen and learn new skills, and build their confidence in a safe and fun environment. Each session will have a unique curriculum based on the skill level, fundamentals, and goals of the players registered. This way, all athletes will have the opportunity to grow and learn at a pace that is comfortable.<\/p>\n Please note that spaces are limited for all our camps and clinics. We look forward to a summer of field hockey!!!<\/p>\n This summer, we are offering:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Highlight Videos from our Weekly Summer Camps in 2024<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our summer camps will focus on building player’s skills, teaching game tactics and terminology in a smaller group setting that allows us to give individualized attention. They will include small games and scrimmages, and give players a chance to ask questions and work on specific skills. We will focus on the different positions and their roles on the field, go over general ball movement and strategy, and learn specialized skills for each position. It will be a great opportunity to learn new skills and strengthen old ones. <\/p>\n Your Child will need the following equipment:<\/strong> <\/p>\n We have a relationship with Longstreth Sporting Goods<\/a> for a discount on all things field hockey. For brand new and young players, we recommend a basic composite stick (measured to the hip bone) to start with and Longstreth can help you. Locally, Dick’s Sporting Goods usually has a few sticks in stock as well.<\/p>\n SPACES ARE LIMITED.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our high school prep camp will help players prepare for their JV and Varsity tryouts by taking them through drills found at tryouts, helping them identify their strengths and areas for growth, and going over positional play.
