Wolf Pack Heads Back to the Beach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nine Washington Wolves players earned the incredible opportunity to compete at the U14 Nexus Championship in 2025. We joined 250 of the top U14 players from across the country to play five games over the course of three days. This is my second year playing at the Nexus Championship and I loved every minute of my time on and off the field.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The path to the Nexus Championship is a five-month journey. I spent three weekends at a site in Virginia doing drills and scrimmaging as evaluators scored my skills. Thousands of players across the country attended other sites but went through the same evaluations. We then waited for a month for an announcement about who would be invited to attend selection camp in Virginia Beach. It was a long, nerve-wracking wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 10 and 11, I had the opportunity to participate in USA Field hockey Nexus selection camp. Going into the weekend, I was both excited and nervous to be training with new coaches and to be competing against high-level players from different clubs and schools. I was prepared to come with confidence and was ready to make the most of the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 Sunshine Showcase in Orlando, Florida was a journey for our team. Day one had a rough start. We lost our first game, but the good thing was we were good sports and got over it. When we went to lunch, we went together to have fun while we ate. When we got back to the field our spirits were lifted and everyone was pumped for the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
