Kita Konerth has been playing field hockey since she was 11. She quickly became a goalkeeper and joined the Washington Wolves club team in 2011. She continued to play with them through her high school graduation in 2016. Kita attended Madeira High School and was named to the All ISL team in 2014 and 2015 as well as All Met Honorable Mention in 2015. Upon graduation Kita received the Kitty Sterns Buckman award for outstanding contributions to a Varsity program.

Kita played for the University of Connecticut from 2016-2017 where she was part of the 2016 and 2017 Big East Regular Season and Tournament Championship team, 2016 NCAA semifinalist, and 2017 NCAA National Championship team. She was named to the Big East Conference All-Academic team In 2018 Kita transferred to Delaware Valley University to pursue her degree in Small Animal Science while continuing to play field hockey. There she was named to the Mid-Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll and a four-year NCAA Scholar of Distinction.

Kita is certified as a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise as well as a Fitness Nutrition specialist. She currently works as a Coach at Bowie Fit Body Bootcamp.
