U14 Team

Our U14 team is comprised of a great group of fun, thoughtful, and hard-working young athletes. With a young team this season, it will be a growing year for us but we are excited to see all the growth that is to come. We have added an experienced group of talented U12s to this squad, including two goalies that are already seeing tremendous growth since they aged up this winter.  This is a fun and exciting group to watch with a lot of potential, so we look forward to watching them bond as a unit and discover their identity as a team. 

Last fall, the team competed in the Greater Howard County Fall League and it was a very valuable experience for us. They then competed at the Shooting Star Thanksgiving tournament at the end of November before transitioning to indoor for the winter with a new team. They then competed in several local indoor tournaments before taking a small break to attend to the Sunshine Showcase in Orlando, Florida at the end of January. They had an incredible showing at the the Sunshine Showcase, surprising several highly ranked opponents (and themselves), winning a competitive Pool and earning the #9 seed and the top spot in the second bracket. Despite a tough loss in their first crossover game, they didn’t miss a step and battled to a 0-0 tie with a tough opponent, and finished the tournament tied for 14th out of 56 teams!!!

Our U14s then moved back indoor for a few local tournaments before attending the 2024 National Indoor Tournament in February, where we entered two teams and both did a terrific job. The U14 Wolves then transitioned back to outdoor, starting with the Shooting Star Showdown tournament in April where they did a good job in a tough Pool A. They competed in the U16 division of the Greater Howard County Spring League followed by the Region 7 Club Championships, before wrapping up their season with a big win at the Hooray for Hockey tournament in June. Go Wolves!!!
