U16 Team

Our U16 team has the healthiest and deepest roster we have had in many years. The team welcomed several new experienced players this fall, and with majority of the age group returning after being a young team last season, we are excited to see what they are able to accomplish this year. 

In the fall, most of our players competed for their high school varsity teams, often going against each other, and we are so proud of all the contributions they made on their teams. Following their fall seasons, they came back together to compete in a local tournament before attending the Shooting Star Thanksgiving tournament in Virginia. Following the showcase in November, the teams began their indoor season, where we carried three indoor teams to accommodate all our players and give them significant playing time. After competing in a few local indoor tournaments, all three teams attended their National Indoor Qualifier in January and we had two teams qualify for U16 National Indoor Tournament at the end of February. During the winter, we also returned to outdoor briefly, where we split up and attend the Winter Escape Showcase and the Sunshine Showcase, both taking place in Florida in January. Both teams did a great job at their showcases, and the U16 team at the Sunshine Showcase finished the tournament tied for 21st out of 84 teams in attendance.

The team is now in their spring outdoor season. They are competing in two local spring leagues that has them competing most  weekends through June. In April, they attended the Shooting Star Easter Showcase where they went unbeaten in pool play to win first place. They will then complete the spring with the Region 7 Club Championships in May where the team will fight for a spot at the National Club Championship at the end of June. Go Wolves!!!!
