U16 Team

Our U16 team has the healthiest and deepest roster we have had in many years. The team returns a wealth of experience in its sophomore class while adding some young talent with some impressive high school. We are excited to see what they are able to accomplish this year. 

In the fall, our players competed for their high school varsity teams, often going against each other, and we are so proud of all the contributions they made on their teams. Following their fall seasons, they competed in a local tournament, which they won, before attending the Shooting Star Thanksgiving tournament in Virginia where they finished tied for second in Pool B. The teams now begin their indoor season. We sent two teams to a National Indoor Qualifier in January and both qualified for and competed at the U16 National Indoor Tournament in February. During the winter, we also returned to outdoor briefly, attending the Winter Escape Showcase, where our combined U16/19 team went 5-0 in pool play, followed by a trip to the Sunshine Showcase. The team won their pool with an unbeaten record and advanced to the second tier bracket as the #16 seed, and finished the tournament tied for 13th out of 79 teams from across the country. 

In the spring, the team will participate in play days and the Souther Showdown tournament in Charlotte, NC at the end of March. In April, they will attend the Shooting Star Easter Showcase before competing at their Regional Club Championship at the end of May with the goal of qualifying for nationals in the summer.
