U16 Team

Our U16 team consists of a great group of fun, hard-working, determined athletes. The team returns a wealth of experience in its sophomore class while adding some young talent with lots of potential. We are excited to see what they are able to accomplish this year.

In the fall, our players will return to compete for their high school varsity teams, often going against each other, and we are so proud of all the hard work they are putting in for their teams. Following their fall seasons, they will compete in a local tournament before attending the Shooting Star Thanksgiving tournament in Virginia, where last year they finished tied for second in Pool B. The team will then begin to transition into their indoor season, where they will split into two teams and compete in local tournaments preparing to qualify at the National Indoor Qualifiers for the National Indoor Tournament! During the winter, we will also return to outdoor briefly, and attend the Winter Escape Showcase, followed by a trip to the Sunshine Showcase. Last year, the team did very well at both showcases, where our combined U16/19 team went 5-0 in pool play at Winter Escape, and at the Sunshine Showcase, the team won their pool with an unbeaten record and advanced to the second tier bracket as the #16 seed. They ended up finishing the tournament tied for 13th out of 79 teams from across the country.

In the spring, the team will participate in play days and the Southern Showdown tournament in Charlotte, NC at the end of March. In April, they will attend the Shooting Star Easter Showcase before competing at their Regional Club Championship at the end of May with the goal of qualifying for nationals in the summer.
