U19 Team

Our oldest and most accomplished group of athletes, the U19 team, is coming off a great year of competition, recruitment, and personal success. We have a mix of players that are either committed to play field hockey at the college level or continue to have a passion for field hockey but have chosen to play at the club level in college. Our current commitments include Davidson, Columbia, Fairfield, Denison, Syracuse, Swarthmore, Longwood, Catholic, Amherst, Lafayette and LIU. 

In the fall, all of our U19s compete for their high school varsity field hockey teams, often serving as captains, leaders and starters on their teams. This means they often compete head-to-head in high school games but we always come back together on the weekends to practice together. At the end of their high school seasons, they will then compete in a local tournament before attending the Shooting Star Thanksgiving tournament in Richmond, Virginia at the end of November. They will then make a quick transition into their indoor season, where we will form two indoor teams that will compete in local and regional indoor tournaments before attending their National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers that will determine if they qualify for the National Indoor Tournament in February. In the middle of all their indoor competition, they will make a short transition to outdoor where  we will be sending a team to the Winter Escape Showcase and the Sunshine Showcase, both taking place in Florida in January. The indoor season will wrap up at the end of February and they will then begin their spring outdoor season, which will consist of a Shooting Star Showcase in April and a local spring league that will have them competing most weekends. They will then compete at the Region 7 Club Championships where they will fight for a spot at the National Club Championship to end the season. Go Wolves!!!!
